香港浸会大学新闻系在香港业界享有盛誉，新闻课程首办于1968年，是当时传理系（现传理学院）的奠基学科；九十年代末已设国际新闻课程，多年来为本地业界培养了众多人才。在此基础上，我们于2007年开办国际新闻文学硕士课程，致力提供高水平研究生教学，侧重探讨香港和中国大陆以及东亚和东南亚地区的国际新闻的发展与变化。课程提供以下两个专业方向： 香港浸会大学国际新闻学硕士课程方向注重将课堂理论与新闻实践紧密结合，力图培养对国际政治文化有深入理解，具敏锐的新闻触觉、高超的实践能力和扎实的语言基础，并能熟练运用新媒体工具的新闻人才。 财经新闻课程方向致力培养具备开阔的国际政经视野、深入的财经分析能力及专业新闻知识的财经新闻记者。课程设置深入浅出，没有财经方面的学术或工作背景的学生或在职人员亦可就读。
